This event is open to all UCONN graduate students. Food will be served on a first-come first-serve basis. Please bring your UCONN student ID card. Event sponsored by the Graduate Student Senate (GSS).

Bollywood Night by Tarang

Tarang is back this semester with a brand new event Bollywood Night! We invite you to come join us for a night full of dance and music. The event is FREE for all. So put on your dance shoes and break out your best moves on Bollywood beats with DJ Deep!

TARANG-Diwali

 

TARANG-UCONN cordially invites UCONN Community and their families, to this year’s Diwali celebrations.

Diwali, the festival of lights (deep = light and avali = a row i.e., a row of lights) which is one of the most popular festivals in India and it literally illuminates the country with its brilliance, and dazzles everyone with its joy. We welcome you to join us for a fantastic night of cultural performances. Join us with your family and friends!

When: Sunday, 6th November from 5:30 PM

Where: UCONN Hillel House

This event is sponsored by the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) and the first 100 tickets to this event will be FREE (including the regional campuses). Only graduate students are eligible for the free tickets. Only one free ticket per person with their UCONN GRADUATE Student ID card. Limited availability – tickets sold on a first-come first-serve basis.

The rest of the tickets will be available for sale.

UCONN STUDENT: $15

NON-STUDENT: $20 

Ticket sales will be on the following days:

Day 1: 11th October (Tuesday) from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Student Union, Union Street – Table 1 (near SU 108 Commuter Lounge)

Day 2: 14th October (Friday) from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Student Union, Union Street – Table 4 (near SU 108 Commuter Lounge)

Dear all,

The current Tarang committee has completed their term of 2014-15 academic session. As we always do, this is the time to form new committee for next academic year.

Being a part of the executive commitee is a thrilling expereince and will give you a great opportunity to get to know and interact with people from in and around your home country.  It also gives a great opportunity to hone your event management and organisational skills. There are perks of getting free access to all Tarang events too!

We encourage new people to come forward and lead our organization. There are four mandatory positions need to be filled.

Welcome to Tarang – University of Connecticut’s Website

Tarang – University of Connecticut, since its inception, has been trying to build a common platform for South Asian Graduate Students to socialize and interact with each other. Tody the Executive Commitee of tarang for the year 2014-2015 presents to you the web portal for Tarang.

This web portal aims to provide a ground for incoming and current graduate students to get to know UConn, its people and culture. It will also be a place to get first hand information about tarang’s events and activities.
