The term of the Tarang 2017-2018 Executive Committee has completed and we are humbled by the experience of working with a lot of dedicated and skillful people over the year. It’s time to get a new group of people to lead Tarang! Being a part of the committee is an invaluable experience. It helps you develop organizational and management skills. Of course you also get to have unlimited fun during the exciting Tarang events all year long.
Nominations are open for the following positions:

Tarang Game Day 2018

Hello everyone!

Tarang is excited to invite you all for Tarang Game Day, organized by Tarang- University of Connecticut and Asha for Education: UConn! As part of the Game Day, we will have the Annual Cricket Tournament – Tarang Premier League (TPL) and other games like Volley ball, Frisbee and Badminton. If you have a group and would like to play as a team, please write to us at uconntarang@gmail.com. You can also request for a game you want to play and mention it in the RSVP. This event is sponsored by Graduate Student Senate (GSS).

When: Saturday, April 14th from 9:00 AM

Where: Mansfield Hollow State Park 

There is an admission fees (cash only) of $10 for UConn Graduate Students. All admission fees shall go as fundraising to Asha for Education: UConn, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting socioeconomic growth in rural areas of India through education.

You are also welcome to just come out and support your friends or have a picnic in the park or have a mini photo-shoot by the lake or just support Asha in their work for a good cause, with your contribution. You are more than welcome to bring any game you like and join us!

Please note that Tarang shall not be responsible for any injuries incurred during the event.

Holi Hungama 2018

Tarang presents Holi Hungama and Pohela Boisakh (Bengali New Year) !
Come join us for a night of South Asian Karaoke and FREE banquet dinner on April 8, 2018 at 6.30PM – 8.30 PM – at Hillel House, 54N Eagleville Rd, Storrs.

Another Diwali is coming, and you know our Diwali is incomplete without you. Together, let’s celebrate the festival of lights in a grandest way with love and laughter. Come with your friends and family for a fantastic night of cultural performances and authentic South Asian food!

Date: November 5, 2017

Venue: Holiday Hill Recreation Center, 41 Chaffeeville Road, Mansfield Center, CT 06250.

Time: 4:00PM to 6:30PM​. Dinner follows.
